This was one of Yorx's better stereos from the late 1970s, but it's still a budget piece.

Yorx M2411

The M2411 was an "all-in-one" stereo from Yorx, featuring an AM/FM receiver, a cassette deck, and an alarm clock. It measures 20.25 inches wide and 8.5 inches tall. I think it's from the late 1970s. I don't know who manufactured it, but I've seen a silver version with a different brand name ("General Shop"). On the surface, it looks impressive, with a thick metal faceplate just like the top brands had. The tuner and VU meters have a very nice looking backlight. And the control knobs are detented, providing a very nice feel. So yes, this was one of Yorx's better models. But inside, there's still lots of empty space. The amplifier only provides 2x8 watts, according to the service manual. If you wanted more power, you would have needed to step up to the M2600.
